June is crazy busy with birthdays for my family. With me, my mom, my husband, my sister-in-law, even my dog! Having to go to the store, read through 100 cards, spend a bunch of money only for it to eventually be thrown away is such a huge waste. This year, instead of doing all of that, I decided to hand make the cards. It shows love and creativity, and maybe it'll make them keep it a bit longer since my heart was put into it.
All you'll need is the 20 minute Card Making For Beginners Kit. Thats it.
Start by picking your stencil. For this, we're going with birthday theme.
Place the stencil over top of the card, and get to coloring with the Goldfaber Aqua watercolor pencils.
Now take the paintbrush, and add some water to your design. I purposely went with a rough sort of painting. Blobs of color were exactly what I wanted here since I'll be outlining it later.
Now take the Pitt Artist pen, place the stencil back on top, and outline.
I chose to color in the "happy bday" part as well to make it stand out a bit more. Then add a a note to the inside of your card, and get to that birthday party!
Chelsea has a not-so-slight obsession with all things lettering. Watching lettering videos is what got her started, and you can usually find her posting videos using every art supply she can get her hands on. From brush pens to watercolor and everything in between!
