This post will show you a super quick and easy way to make a cute, abstract floral picture using watercolor pencils!
Materials:
- Watercolor paper
- Mixed media tin Albrecht Dürer + PITT artist pen
First, you want to start with the grass. I used the dark green watercolor pencil from the kit to sketch out grass along the bottom of my paper.
Next, add in the stems, leaves and swirls on top for the flower color. (We will add in the floral details later)
Using the watercolor brush from the kit, blend the color! It's ok if it looks messy because remember we will be adding in details later!
I used the brush pen (from the kit) to add some lettering to the top of my page. You can either do this or add more illustrations like clouds or the sun. Make it creatively yours!
Last step! Using the PITT artist pen from the kit ADD THOSE DETAILS! I added the flower petals right onto the spots of color we made for the flowers. Added other details in the stems, leaves and even the grass!

Because she’s busy during the day, the night is when her creativity gets to explode into the world through lettering and messing around with watercolors. Her biggest advice would be to not compare your art to other people’s art! Be uniquely you!
