An Art Journal Page with Gelatos® Color Passion Fruit

Hi everyone! Mou here today with an art journal page using Gelatos® Color Passion Fruit. Lately, I have been enjoying creating art journal pages outside an actual journal. I am using mixed media or watercolor paper as my base. Let me show you how I made this page, starting with the supplies you'll need.

SUPPLIES:

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos® Colors: Passion Fruit, Caramel, Elderberry, Margarita Mix, Strawberry

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Pen BLACK

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Textural Accent: Gel Medium, 102 Stencil Collection, Texture Gems™ 3ct Metallics

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft PITT Artist Pens Lettering Set: Jewel Brush

Other: mixed media paper, stamps, found papers, pencil

As crafters, we all have a stash for pretty supplies. I collect rubber stamps wherever I find them. It makes me feel connected to another artist when I make their art part of mine. Use the stamps that you have. Ink them up with the Stamper's Big Brush pen BLACK and stamp on the paper to cover the entire surface.

Tear small pieces of saved papers from old books, rejected artwork, scrap papers, etc. and attach a few pieces to the page with Gel Medium.

Next, to add some colors to the page - Passion Fruit is going to be today's main color and you can use other colors to make it stand out more. Having one color to focus on helps me develop the whole color scheme of the page.

The other Gelatos® Colors I'm using today are Caramel, Elderberry, Margarita Mix and Strawberry. Rub them on the page and blend them water.

Lay a stencil on the colored page and trace parts of it with pencil.

Freehand sketch a heart or another simple shape that you like with pencil. Add more colors around the heart and traced stencil shapes as shown.

Stamp a favorite quote with alphabet stamps and Stamper's Big Brush pen BLACK.

Add small dots with Texture Gems Metallics Gold to the page for some shine and texture.

Make marks on the page with PITT Artist pens Jewel Brush following the contours of the shapes to finish.
