Hi there friends, Mou here today with an art journaling tutorial using Gelatos® Color IRIDESCENTS Galaxy & Ice Layers!
Let's start with a list of supplies I used on my page.
Supplies:
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos® Color IRIDESCENTS: Galaxy, Odyssey, Mars, Nebula, Stardust, Supernova
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Textural Accents and Tools:
Stencil collections: 101, 102, 301
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Essential PITT Artist Pens BLACK
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft PITT Artist Pens Lettering Set Jewel Brush
Other: mixed media paper, cardstock, diecut, paintbrush, scissors, paper towel, baby wipe, blending wedge, old book page
Cut the Ice layers Floral in half with scissors.
Cut the Ice Layers Floral into smaller blocks. I have also used the remnant of another Ice Layers here. Attach to the page in a patchwork design.
Color the page with Gelatos® Color IRIDESCENTS Galaxy.
Blend with water. You can wipe off colors from the the surface of the Ice Layers when dry to create a resist design.
Lighten the color a little with Gesso. Again, wipe off the surface of the Ice Layers.
Rub some more Gelatos colors on the paper surface after the gesso dries completely. Blend dry with a blending wedge. Lay your favorite stencils on it and wipe off with baby wipes.
Cut up some scrap papers from other projects into circles and attach to the page with gel medium as shown. Also attach a diecut (in this case, the elephant) to create a focal point.
Make marks with PITT Artist pen Lettering set Jewel Brush.
Add doodles with PITT Essential Artist Pen BLACK. You can draw right on top of the Ice Layers with the PITT pens.
Cut out words from an old book page and attach near the diecut with gel medium to finish.
I hope you enjoyed today's tutorial and will give these beautiful Gelatos® Color IRIDESCENTS a try!
