Hi Loves. Tiare here. Natural colors just rock my world. You can find them throughout my home from the carpet to furniture to the walls. They are very common in many households. However, they are even better with a bit of sparkle. Therefore, it was quite easy for me to decide what I wanted to create using the yummy color : Gelatos® Metallic Icing Mmmmm.
Grab your Gelatos® and let's play. Here's what I did.
Use Gelatos® Iced Chai, Iced Coffee, Gold Champagne to make a lovely background. I colored it on and spread with water. Use Gesso and spread with brayer to add another layer. Set aside to dry.
Cover both sides of a lunch bag with Gesso. Next color with your Gelatos® Metallic Icing, rub in with your finger or a damp paint brush. Tear out 3 sets of circles, 3 circles each, with the size increasing with each circle in each set. Since you colored on both sides you can tear out 2 circles at a time. Allow to dry.
Use Mixed Media Stencil 101 to add a fun pattern to canvas. Just color over with Gelatos® Iced Chai, Iced Coffee and Gold Champagne and spread with finger. Rub Gelatos® Iced Coffee along all four edges, rub in with finger to frame canvas.
Crumple all circles in a tight ball and then unfold. Color edges using Gelatos® Iced Coffee then gently and quickly rub Gelatos® over top to hit the wrinkles. Layer crumpled circles from small to large to create flowers. Secure with a large brad.
Attach flowers to canvas with Gel Medium or by using brads through the canvas.
Finish off by doodling on stems using Stamper's Big Brush Pen #177 Walnut Brown and scribbling around canvas with Texture Gems™ Gold to add sparkle.
Tada!
