Hi! It's Laura Bray here with a home decor plaque that is perfect for your late summer/early fall decorating. Lemon is the Gelatos® color of the week so I thought a pretty little sunflower would be perfect.
I used Gelatos® on a wood plaque and added some accents with the Paper Crafter Crayons™ Neutral set. I love how rustic it looks!
To create one yourself:
Begin by drawing some seed circles in the center of your round, wood plaque using Paper Crafter Crayons™ . Then sketch out the petals of the sunflowers with a Lemon Gelatos®. They don't have to perfect petals as we are going to blend the color in with a foam wedge from the Essential Tool Kit.
Once it is blended in, use the Neutral Paper Crafter Crayons™ to outline the petals, adding details and shading.
When you are happy with the flower, use a Snow Cone colored Gelatos® to create the background color. I used a wet brush to give the background a light, transparent look. The Snow Cone color complements the Lemon perfectly!
Finally, use the Lemon and Snow Cone Gelatos® to finish off the sides of the plaque. I also used a Paper Crafter Crayons™ and ran it over the edges of the plaque to give it a rustic look.
I hope you will try this project! Gelatos® are a forgiving medium and are great way to start bringing your original artwork into your craft projects.

That looks like an awesome piece of work. Looks quite doable.
