Hello all, this is Rachel Kleinman joining in on some Clear Scraps fun! I really enjoyed this project, especially because it challenged me to look at my Design Memory Craft™ products in a different way... after all I was creating on CLEAR ACRYLIC, not paper like usual! So here is my mini photo clipboard that is a nod to my recent visit to Myrtle Beach.
I started with the Clear Scraps Vintage Mini Clipboard and colored both sides with india ink from the Stamper's Big Brush Pens in May Green and Cobalt Blue. Once the ink from the pens dried, it was on the acrylic board permanently!
Next I used the diamond stencil from Design Memory Craft™ Stencil 102 Collection with Silver Texture Luxe™ paste.
Next I decorated the Clear Scraps Vacation Word Title. First I gesso'd the chipboard, then colored it with Gelatos® Passion Fruit, Butter Cream, and Watermelon. To add a huge pop of sparkle, I also coated the chipboard with Glass Bead Glitter Gel, then a very thick layer of Ice Texture™ Gems.
Next I mixed Lemon Gelatos® with Whipped Spackle and layered a very thick coat of it along the bottom of the clipboard. I used this as a glue to add in the vacation chipboard and several shells we found at Myrtle Beach. Once the Whipped Spackle was dry everything stayed perfectly in place!
Thanks for joining me today! Have fun creating in a new way with your Clear Scraps and Faber Castell Design Memory Craft™ products!
