Hi All. Tiare here with my first August post. I've been mixing up my Design Memory Crafts products and simply having a ball with color. This week I've been playing with Gelatos® Color Snowcone, the color of the week and mixing it up with a few fun items. Here's what I did.
First, I created a colorful background using Stamper’s Big Brush Pens: Light Green 171, May Green 170, Permanent Green Olive 167 and Chromium Green Opaque 174 and a little bit of water. I used the Mixed Media Stencil 101 on top, along with Gelatos® Color Snowcone and Kiwi to create a cute pattern.
Next, I sketched in my "Daydreamer."
Next, I made gorgeous shimmering hair by mixing Gelatos® Colors Snowcone with Texture Luxe™ Pearl and spread it using a palette knife. I was sure to NOT smooth it out so that the natural textures remained.
Lastly, I added a bit of color to the lips and eyelids using Gelatos® Colors Snowcone and Kiwi. I added details with a Journaling Pitt®Artist Pens Medium Nib. It activated quickly. Next, I created shading with a Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft paintbrush, found in the Gelatos Brights 15 Ct . set. I finished by rubbing the Gelatos® Color Snowcone over the hair. The raised parts picked up the color and added visual interest.
Supplies Used:
- Stamper’s Big Brush Pens: Light Green 171, May Green 170, Permanent Green Olive 167, Chromium Green Opaque 174, Black 188
- Texture Luxe™ Pearl
- Journaling Pitt®Artist Pens Medium Nib
- Palette Knife
- Blender Stump
- Gelatos® Colors Snowcone, Kiwi
