Hello everyone! Hope you are enjoying the spring weather :) Today I am combining spring flowers and upcoming Mother's Day in this sweet embossed mini bag.

By using the Paper Flowers Kit - 90 pcs, one can easily created an embellished mini gift bag in no time. EVERYTHING is in the kit including several techniques in a booklet...class in a box :)

MargieHiguchi HiMomPaperFlowerKitMiniBag Apr2016 Step1

I am showcasing one of those techniques here using Texture Gems™ Ice as a resist. By dotting the petals and letting it dry, you created a resist design.

With the enclosed knife, slice a piece of Design Memory Craft® Gelatos® Metallic Grape and add water to create a paint. Brush over the flower and gentle wipe off the color on the resist design. Repeat the paint process in Metallic Melon Gelatos® with two other flower die cuts. For the smallest flower, I did another resist design and colored it with Metallic Grape.

While the flowers dried, emboss a Kraft colored mini bag for texture and interest in the background.

I love this shape! You can use it for a banner or sentiment which I did :) Wrote a quick "Hi Mom!" with Stamper's Big Brush Pen in Walnut Brown.

Then the fun part, assembling it all together!! Using foam dots, Dodz™ 3D and Dodz™ Medium (clear double-side adhesive dots), everything was layered into a beautiful dimensional flower.

A close up of the flower...I wanted a little more bling so I added a clear rhinestone in the middle to finish it off...what do you think?

What a sweet idea I love this bag. So quick and easy yet it looks like you took a lot of time tfs.

Very lovely DIY....I love DIY's as gifting handmade things reflects the investment of time and efforts in making gifts and also makes us creative in different ways.Mothers are the best gift of live and no gift can be as precious as much she is.She should at-least be felt important when she will realize that we have made efforts to make gift for her instead pf buying.
