Hello friends....Penny here today with a card designed for a friend going through Breast Cancer. This would be a lovely layout for most any occasion whether it be a birthday, Mother's Day or even a Sympathy card...it is just a matter of changing the sentiment.

Let's Make a Card:

On the base card color the bottom third with with Kiwi Gelatos®. Stamp script with Sky Blue Stampers Big Brush Pen.

Using the Diamond Pattern stencil, mix Whipped Spackle with a bit of Aqua Dolce Gelatos®. Using a spatula, spread across the top of base card and let dry.

 

For the stamped panel, I used a piece of watercolor paper and a Misti stamping tool. Color flowers with Sky Blue Stampers Big Brush Pen, spritz with water and stamp.

Color the edges of the flowers with Colbalt Blue and Cobalt Green Stampers Big Brush Pens, spritz with water and stamp again.

When you don't have any green pens, you make your own by coloring the foliage with Deep Scarlet Red and Sky Blue Stampers Big Brush Pens. :)

Once this panel was dry, I added a bit of Aqua Dolce Gelatos® to the left edge and stamped the same script about an inch to the inside. Add splatters by first scribbling a bit of Stampers Big Brush Pen Coblat Blue onto craft mat. Touch a very wet paintbrush to scribbles and flick across stamped panel. Finally add sentiment with VersaFine Majestic Blue ink.

Assemble card by first attaching dark blue ribbon across base panel. Stamped panel is adhered with foam adhesive, then bow was tied using Natural twine. Add faux pearl as desired.

Hi Penny, It is a beautiful card that you have assembled today. Thanks for the picture tutorial, as it is so helpful. I would be curious to know how you cleaned, or what you did with that Faber-Castell treated, cardboard-like stencil. I own both sets, but am always afraid to use them and ruin them. Silly, I know. Thanks.

Hi Linda S. in NE...Thank you for the wonderful kudos on my card. To clean the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft stencils, I just use a baby wipe. They are pretty rugged and can take some abuse...go for it girl. Get those stencils dirty!!! hugs, :)
