Pinkish Art Journal Spread

Hello, it´s Denisa here. Today I´d like to share with you my latest art journal made on canvas cloth. Normally I do not use too much pink on my projects but one of my New Year´s resolutions was to do things that I never do. So I started with colours and here it is. My pink baby.

I started with a bit of printed canvas that I glued on to a thick paper. I left the edges undone. I covered it with Gesso and let it dry. Next I added a piece of white gauze. I glued it on with another random layer of Gesso. I let it dry again and created more texture with canvas bits. I glued them on using a glue.

After that I added colours. I grabbed my fave Gelatos®. Blue, red and pink tones plus water in spray. I continued with random stamping using amazing Stamper's Big Brush Pens in Black. I was happy with the background so I started to build up my cluster.

I decided to use various leftovers and bits to decorate with (old wire, mobile keyboard, tiny wooden cube, mica flakes, used tea bags, broken chippie, ribbon, metal trinkets and buttons). As the focal point I chose a vintage family image. When my cluster was done I covered the pic (not to get stained) and made black and pink splashes all around the canvas. Finally I attached the canvas to the golden frame.

Hope you like my canvas inspiration. Wishing you all amazing new year full of inspiration!
