Metallic Makeover with Penny

Noel-main

Hello crafty friends, Penny here today with a little Metallic Makeover. As I was walking past the thrift bins at my local big box craft store, I spotted these really cool letters, but of course they needed a little something, something. So easy to add your own touch and make something festive for your own home or to give away.

Let's get Started:

Noel-step2     Noel-step1

Spray paint the letter "N" Gold and the letter "L" Silver. Using a spatula and stencil, add Texture Luxe™ Silver and Gold to the coordinating letter. Let dry.

Noel-step4

On the outside edge of each letter, apply Iced Coffee Gelatos®, smudging with finger to give it an antique look.

Noel-step5

Die cut Garland Greenery from White card stock and color with Mint Gelatos® and a little bit of water. Add greenery, Pinecone and Star to small grapevine wreath.

Please Note:

Pinecone was cut with Silhouette Cameo and Design ID #88680 using Kraft card stock, then colored with Iced Coffee Gelatos®.

Stitched Star was die cut from Red card stock then colored with Iced Currant Gelatos®.

Botanical Stem was die cut using Vellum.

I was just looking at some similar letters today....thanks for such a cool idea. I've also recently been trying my hand at mixed media which is thinking waaayyyy outside the box for me, but it's really fun. Love what you did with the letters. Very, very nice.

Beautiful project Penny! Love the addition of the wreath!
Never tried the silver and gold Texture Luxe, but will absolutely have to find them and give them a go- I'm all about the texture!
