Hi! Maya here for my last post as a guest at Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®. I have really enjoyed my time here and hope that you'll visit me at my own blog if you liked what I made.
Today I wanted to share a fun way to alter the look of your stamps. I used the PITT® Artist Pens to doodle in my stamps giving them a new appearance and then coloring them with yummy Gelatos® in Mango and Bubblegum from the Brights set.
I started by stamping a pattern of leaves using waterproof ink. It's important that is is waterproof because I'm going to use Gelatos® to watercolor on top and don't want any smudges.
I added doodling with the fines tipped PITT® Artist Pen I had. I love doodling and if you aren't confident enough to do it freehanded this is a good way to get some practice. The PITT® Artist Pens are made with odorless, waterproof, lightfast and archival India ink so it will be perfect to watercolor on top of it. I also filled in any of the lines or areas that didn't stamp perfectly, my ink pad needs refilling.
I scribbled the Bubblegum and Mango Gelatos® on a couple of acrylic blocks and mixed in some water with a brush turning them in to pretty watercolors.
I colored selected parts of my leaves, making them bold and brightly colored. I kept the card pretty simple to let the background shine, just munching out a circle, adding some glitter paper and an embossed sentiment.
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my previous posts and to Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® for having me as a guest. Take care!
