Art Journaling Week 2 with Lisa and blog hop with Stampendous

Art Journaling Banner 2

Hi everyone! Lisa with you today. We started our Art Journal Journey's last Monday and here we are for the second week and it's a BONUS that we are also blog hopping with Stampendous! Yay!

LisaAdametz-ArtJournal-Week2-1

For my post last week I shared how I was using Gesso, Gel Medium,  Gelatos® and a fun vintage postcard image to start building up my Art Journal. This week I'll be adding more layers with stamps, stencils, and additional Textural Accents.

I used  the same Gelatos® as last week (over a Gesso base) to give my board a coated with color look. I know I want to journal on a lot of my pages to I'm planning where to use the lightest colors as I color.

Using a Stamper's Big Brush Pen in Black #199 I used one of the Stampendous Stamps from this set called NK Studio Wired Cling Rubber Stamps (NKCRS02) by the artist Nathalie Kalbach.

Then I put down a messy layer of Chalkboard Paint where I thought I'd want my journaling to go.

And I then stamped on top of the dried Chalkboard Paint with a layer of white pigment ink using the Journal Lines Perfectly Clear Stamps (SSC1205):

Perfect grid lines for all of my journaling! In this case with the Chalkboard Paint the PITT Pastel Pencils will work perfectly for my journaling.

I added some more texture with Whipped Spackle, one of the Mixed Media Stencils and another stamp  NK Studio Grunge Cling Rubber Stamps (NKCRS03):

I am really enjoying all the art journal entries.I am learning so much-and it's great to have them all in one place to refer back to. I have the mixed media journal and my inspiration piece.I'd really intended to jump right in-but cataract surgery is no scheduled for 6/18 & 7/02 so it might be a while until I get used to being able to see again. Thank you all for all the wonderful inspiration and instruction.

Beautiful colors and wonderful texture you've created with 4 gelatos. Then you add even more texture. I'm loving this. I've really been enjoying Art Journaling this month and the blog hop with Stampendous this week. Love the stamps sets you are using here.
