Lately, I seem to be drawn to dress forms. I want to paint and draw them. They are feminine, free and full of imagination for the viewer and the artist. No words necessary. You can fill with color, texture, techniques and/or patterns. Just simple yummy goodness.
Cover background with Gesso. Draw your dress form.
Add Whipped Spackle and use Textured Cards to add even more detail and dimension with the Whipped Spackle.
Color dress form and background using Gelatos® Watermelon, Squid Ink, Aqua Dolce, Black Cherry
Ink edges to complete.
Just a little close up of the yummy texture created with the texture card and Whipped Spackle.
So in love. I will be doing this again and again.
Supplies Used:
- Gelatos® Watermelon, Squid Ink, Aqua Dolce, Black Cherry
-
Gelatos® Double Scoop® Chocolate, Champagne
- Whipped Spackle
- Gesso

Bio: Hi! I am Tiare Smith. I am an avid mixed media artist and art journal enthusiast. I have the most wonderful supportive husband and family. No children or pets. I find inspiration in everything around me from items in my own home and yard, to things I see on a leisurely stroll, to people, shapes and items found in a store, restaurant or museum. Inspiration is endless! I find joy learning, growing and sharing my passion with others.
Currently, I host a weekly online art journal pajama party, as well as online workshops and on-site classes. I spend time creating daily and I encourage others to embrace their art daily, as well. \
