Be Strong Tag Using Texture Gems - With Lisa

Hi everyone! Lisa with you today to share a few fun ideas using the Texture Gems™ (and a few other awesome products) on a black tag.

Let me show you how I did this:

1. Using embossing ink, stamp floral image onto black tag two times. Heat set with clear embossing powder until shiny.

2. With Gelatos® in the following colors: Iced Pear, Iced Rose', Metallic Grape, & Metallic Blueberry (from the 15-Piece Metallics Collection) rub Gelatos® all over tag.

3. Blend Gelatos® with finger.

4. Buff lightly with damp rag until stamped image shows through.

5. Begin to "color" in the stamped image using the Texture Gems™.  Start with Gold Texture Gems™ for the petals.  Use fingers to blend the color for a painterly look.

6. Working inwards, use the other colors: Silver Texture Gems™, Pearl Texture Gems™, and the Texture Gems™ Ice.  In smaller areas, allow the tip of the applicator to do the work.

7. Place graduated dot stencil from the 101 Stencil Pack on the right side of the tag and using the Pearl Texture Luxe™ and a sponge dab the Texture Luxe™ over the right side (even over the flower, if desired).

8. With a PITT Artist Pen in Black #199 (once Texture Luxe™ has dried) trace a variety of the circles.

9.  Trace around edges of tag with PITT Artist Pen in Black and also with Texture Gems™ (Ice and Pearl). To accentuate petal edges also trace around petals with PITT Artist Pen.

10. Stamp sentiment in embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder.

11. Add washi tape.

12. Accentuate flowers with PITT Artist Pen in Green Metallic #294 and add Texture Gems™ Gold to centers.

13. Using the graduated hexagon stencil from the 101 Stencil pack add some Glass Bead Glitter Gel for a little extra shimmer.

14. Add ribbon to finish!

I know there's a LOT of stuff on this one layer tag, but it just goes to show you what you can do with so many of the products. Lisa, your tag is awesome! I love, love, love the beautiful colors and textures you chose, as well as the way you put them together. I opened an email today from Faber-Castell about the Ustream Class on Wed., May 27, 2015. I watched the DIY All Occasion Party Banner and made a comment to be entered in the giveaway. The demonstrator (I couldn't find her name anywhere) said that if we comment on the blog we have a chance at winning the grand prize. I couldn't find a link to your blog anywhere on the Ustream page. I went to Faber-Castell website and couldn't find anywhere to write a comment. I went through the Ustream video several times to find out how to get to the page where I was to leave a comment. I keep looking at your tag because there is so much too see. Wonderful and creative use of products, beautiful shimmer and fun texture. That is a pretty interesting stamp too. I don't have any glitter gems yet but they do look like they would be fun to experiment with.
