Hi everyone, Mou here with the fourth Take the Challenge of 2015.
If you are new to this blog, let me fill you in about Take the Challenge. Every month, on the first Monday, I'll post a challenge and my take on it. You'll have 12 days to take this on. Leave a comment to the challenge post with a link to your creation based on that challenge. We will pick TWO winners from among the readers who participated in that month's challenge. And the winners will get a prize from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®.
My April prompt for you is CREATIVITY. How are you creative, your favorite creativity quote, is creativity your life style or just a hobby... whatever it means to you, create a project around the idea of creativity. Here's my art journal page.
On this project, I used:
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Textural Accents: Gesso, Gel Medium, Whipped Spackle
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush pens: BLACK, SCARLET RED, MAGENTA, NEUTRAL set
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils:115, 350 (YELLOW); 156 (GREEN), 123, 124, 125, 133 (RED), 147 (BLUE)
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos Mist Maker Set
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Mixed Media Stencils 101 collection: Hexagons
Others: Sizzix Framelits Die Set 4PK w/Stamps - Limitations; die-cutting system; art journal, old book page, stamps, acrylic mounts, lace trim
And here are the steps.
Apply a coat of Gesso to prime the journal page.
Color the page with Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils. Blend with wet brush. Repeat to create interesting layers of colors.
Stamp randomly by inking background stamps with Stamper's Big Brush pens.
Attach pieces of lace trim using Gel Medium.
Lay Hexagon stencil on page and apply Whipped Spackle with palette knife. Let dry.
Apply coats of gesso to old book paper. Let dry.
Ink up butterfly stamp with Stamper's Big Brush pen. Stamp on primed book paper. Diecut the butterfly. Attach the butterfly to the page with Gel Medium.
Add colors and details to the stamped image inside the clock with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils.
Stamp the quote below the butterfly. Add details with gesso and paint brush.
Ink up background stamps with Stamper's Big Brush pens and stamp over the stenciled shapes.
Add more details, highlights and shadows with Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils.
Here's another close-up of my page.
Don't forget to share your challenge creations with us... just leave a comment to the challenge post with link to your project image(s) by Friday, 4/17 and we will pick TWO winners randomly to win these.
The prize for this challenge is: One pack of Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils in you choice of color.
Don't forget to check back on Monday, 4/20 to see if YOU won!
Good luck to all!

This CREATIVITY challenge was sooo fun for me. It took me awhile to get it all right but it was worth it!! There is an "acrostic" that explains my definition of creativity on the blog! Thanks so much for this opportunity and for your wonderful products too. j.
