Promise of new beginnings & the winners of April Take the Challenge with Mou and the Blog Hop Winner

Hi everyone, Mou here with today's post.

Spring promises of new beginnings. Beginnings filled with possibilities. Here's an art journal page about the essence of beginnings for me.

I used:

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Textural Accents: Gesso, Gel Medium, Glaze, Whipped Spackle

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos® Colors: 15 ct. PASTELS

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush pens: BLACK, SCARLET RED, MAGENTA, NEUTRAL set

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils:124 (RED), 147 (BLUE), 131, 176, 234 (NEUTRAL)  

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos Mist Maker Set

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Mixed Media Stencils 201 collection: Fleur de lis

Others: Sizzix Egg & Wire Basket die & die-cutting system; art journal, cardstock, old book paper stamps, acrylic mounts, lace trim

Prime the journal page with gesso. When dry, color with your favorite shade of Gelatos® Pastels colors.

Blend the colors with Glaze medium for a subtle shin.

Diecut basket and eggs from cardstock. Prime the diecuts with gesso and color the eggs with PASTELS Gelatos® colors and blend with Glaze medium.

Attach some bits of lace and the diecuts to the page using gel medium.

Add details to the eggs using Stamper's Big Brush pens.

Color the basket with Gesso and Art GRIP® Aquarelle watercolor pencils.

 

Stamp around some more using the same stamp but different colors of Stamper's Big Brush pens.

Cut a word you like from an old book page and attach to the egg to finish.
