Welcome to day 4 of the blog hop with Canvas Corp! To win Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®'s $50 prize, comment below each day this week. One random winner will be selected on April 20th.
Hi everyone, Mou here with today's blog hop project and a tutorial!
To make this project, you'll need:
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Textural Accents: Gesso, Gel Medium, Whipped Spackle, Texture Luxe™ Gold,
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush pens: MAGENTA, PINK MADDER
Using Gel Medium as adhesive, attach two strips of lace trims onto the canvas. Seal off with a top coat of Gel Medium.
When dry, color the canvas with Gelatos® colors Cotton Candy and Lavender. Blend colors with wet brush.
Create textured design by applying Whipped Spackle through Fleur De Lis stencil from the Stencils 201 collection.
TIP: If you coat these stencils with gel medium before first use, they will last longer. Thanks Tammie Wilson for the helpful tip!
Here's what the stenciled design looks like.
Apply some Texture Luxe™ in Gold with palette knife to accentuate the texture of the lace trims and to add beautiful shin.
To create a focal point on the canvas, cut out text from old book paper in strips and attach with gel medium. Add some flowers around it. Once the gel medium dries, apply Gesso, Gelatos® colors, and Texture Luxe™ in Gold to unify the diverse flowers.
Diecut leaves. Rub some Grape, Blueberry and Boysenberry Gelatos® colors on craft mat and dilute with water. Press the leaves face down onto the colors to create watercolored leaves.
Tuck the leaves around the flowers and secure in place with Gel Medium. to finish.
Hope you enjoyed today's project!
Wow! This is so beautiful!
