Whipped Spackle and Gelatos® Journaling Board with Video

IMG_6309

Hi there! Laurel Beard here as a guest designer for the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Design Team.  I'm here with the first part of the Mixed Media Journal I am creating....  Throughout my time here, I will mix it up and  share the different pages I am creating for my journaling board as well as some cards designs.  I am LOVING all these Faber Castell® Design Memory Craft® line and I love that all the products are mix & match! Today's journaling board uses the Gelatos®Whipped Spackle, and Stamper's Big Brush Pens.

This was so much fun to create, and super easy too!!!! I hope you will check out the video below... You can watch it right here or over on my youtube channel.

A few more close ups of my project today:

  1. Apply a thick coat of Whipped Spackle to the Journaling Board  and allow to dry (about an hour)
  2. Grab your favorite stencil (or free hand) and trace the outline of the stencil with a black Stamper's Big Brush Pen. The Stamper's Big Brush pens are made with India Ink so they are permamant and will NEVER fade. I added a little Scarlet Red Stamper's Big Brush pen for the lips!
  3. Apply Gelatos® over the stencil (exact colors I used are listed below). Once Gelatos® dry, they are completely permanant.
