Textured Coffee Card with Video

 Hi everyone! It's Laurel Beard here today with my first post as a Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Guest Designer! ACK! I am over the moon excited about guesting here! There are no words to explain my joy! If you know me at all, you know I love Gelatos® and coffee! So, I thought for my first project as a Guest Design Team member, I would create a funny coffee card full of texture using various products from the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® line. All the products are "Mix & Match", which means they are designed to work together!!!!! Actually, their tagline is "mix mediums with matching color palettes to creative with confidence." And it's true. Today's cards features: Gelatos®, Stamper's Big Brush Pens and Whipped Spackle. All the exact supplies I used are listed at the end of this post.

Here is a close up of all the texture on this card...  

 

1. To start, I primed my card base with Gesso.  
2. To create that gorgeous two toned sentiment, I used my Stamper's Big Brush Pens direct to the stamp. Stamper's Big Brush Pens are are made with India Ink and are permanant, lightfast, acid-free and archival. What this means is, they don't stink (lol, no one likes a stinky pen) and they will maintain their crisp colors for many many many years.
3. After the sentiment dried (I zapped it with my heat gun as I have zero patience, lol) and  then applied different colors of Gelatos® all over my panel and blended it with a combination of my fingers and a wet paint brush.  Gelatos® react with moisture so they are super easy to blend.  Once Gelatos® are dry, they are completely permanant.
4. As a finishing touch to this card, I applied this delicious Whipped Spackle thru a stencil to create even more texture and fun.   I love this stuff. It is yummy, and calorie free! :)

Great video and Great card. I love this sentiment and the way you colored it with the Nougat and then added the Black accents. Looks worn and wonderful with that awesome textured, distressed background. Really enjoyed watching you work.
