Paper Crafter Crayon(tm) techniques with Rita!

RBarakat5 Hey there artsy peeps! Rita Barakat here today with a very cool technique to share today involving Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Paper Crafter Crayons(tm)!

IMG_2699100 Using a little chipboard mini I started with my drawing on a gesso background. Rbarakat2 I colored it with Gelatos®Colors and PITT® Artist Pens, then I used painters tape to protect my art. Rbarakat4 I used a Clover mini iron (for quilting) to melt the Paper Crafter Crayons (tm) and wipe the melted crayons onto the chipboard. I added a lot to the top then used a heat gun to make the thicker areas drip onto the umbrella. Rbarakat3 Here are a couple of close ups! What is nice about this process is you can continue to add color and even wipe some away by melting and wiping the iron with a paper towel. RBarakat Here is a last look! Such a fun technique - it's hard not to get hooked on Paper Crafter Crayons(tm)! What will you create?
