Hi everyone! It's Susanne today and I'd like to share with you my journaling cards mini album! I love journaling cards and I love to create my own. Especially with a mixed media look. The Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft product line has the best tools to do that. I love how the products mix and match! I did a video to show you some techniques I used to create my journal cards. You'll find it at the end of the post.
Let's have a look at the album at first:
I used some homemade polymer clay alphabet buttons to spell "story" on my cover. It's really easy to create these buttons. You just need some polymer clay and some alphabeth stamps. I stamped with the black Stamper's Big Brush Pen onto the unbaked clay. Then I cut the buttons with some small circle cutters. After that you can bake it. I covered the little white heart with some Glass Beads Glitter Gel. That gives it an awesome shimmer and texture.
The little door hanger is cut our of patterned paper and covered with Glossy Accents.
On the back of every card I adhered some patterned paper. Another option would be to directly add a photo. So you can take your 3 x 4 or 4 x 6 photos, depending on which size you prefer. My album has a 3 x 4 size, because I like it handy.
Here is the video where you can see with which techniques I created these kind of journaling cards.
I hope you had some fun, see you soon. Susanne.
