Hi there! Katie from KBStamps here again. Today I want to share a fun tutorial with you for how to make this Sparkle card! I love the way this turned out and the fun use of the PITT® Pastel Pencil(s)!
So for supplies you'll need:
- White Cardstock
- PITT® Pastel Pencil(s)- Red/Yellow and Blue Green packs
- Baby Wipes
- Memory Box Sunburst Stencil
- Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Whipped Spackle & applicator
- Momento Black Ink
- Winnie and Walter Stamps
- Pretty Pink Posh Sequins
- Silver twine
- Felt Sticker from Pebbles Inc.
- papercutter, snips and glue of choice
STEP 1- take you cardstock and fold in half the long way. Then take your pencils in the color order you want and add a rough layer of color on the CS. You'll want to color in the same direction in which you plan to use your stencil.
STEP 2- Once you've completed the coloring, take a baby wipe and run it across the paper in the direction you've colored. This will blend the color and make it look like a watercolor. You can add more color and blend with the wipe again until you have the look you want. However, be carefull you don't get your cardstock too wet or it will warp.
STEP 3- Tape your stencil down on top of the CS with the color. Apply the Whipped Spackle using your applicator tool. (I used a pallett knife, but you can use a credit card or kitchen scraper just as easily). Remove the stencil and set aside to dry.
STEP 4- Stamp your sentiment on the velum using the black ink. Once the spackle is dry, coil your twine and adhere to base (I used glue dots). Add the felt star sticker and then adhere the sentiment.
STEP 5- Finish off by adding sequins as desired.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and post today and hope you'll come back to see more fun Faber-Castell Memory Design Craft in use!
