Hi friends! It's Lisa here with you with a simple and fun card for you today using Gelatos®, Textural Accents, the Gelatos® Tool Set, a large area stencil, and some fun embellishments.
1. I started by laying my stencil down on watercolor paper and then using a low-tack tape to hold the pieces together. Even though the piece is larger than my finish project I colored the whole thing. This way I could decide what part I wanted to use when done. My Gelatos® colors are as follows: Boysenberry, Banana, Red Cherry, and Snow Cone (with Metallic Mint mixed in).
2. I used the Dot Dabber from the Gelatos® Tool Set to fill in each circle of the stencil with a color and pattern that was pleasing to me. As you can see in the photo the circle is not completely filled in. The more the dabber is worked, the firmer the stencil is held to the paper, and the more product is used will all yield different results.
**Here I have all the color added, but no Textural Acccents added yet**
(I just noticed that my card looks like that old game Connect 4™ by Hasbro!! Anyone else old enough to remember that?!! LOL!!)
3. Next is to add the Textural Accents. I chose a few random circles and covered a few with Glaze, one with Glass Bead Glitter Gel (a little goes a long way!), and Whipped Spackle. I also used a small paintbrush to let some of the edges of the get more watercolor-y. If that makes sense. I don't want them to look perfect.
(Whipped Spackle being applied with the palette knife from the Gelatos® Tool Set:)
(Glaze being added: )
4. Once all the Textural Accents have dried, trim the piece to fit the size of your card. Mine is a top-folding A2 card. (4.25" x 5.5") I trimmed some pieces of patterned paper to go along the sides of my front panel, used some ephemera pieces, a wood flag, and some twine to finish it all off. "HELLO...BEACH TIME!" :)
I hope you see how easy a fun, cute, and totally Summery card can be with all the right tools!

Such a wonderful combination of happy colors! Loved that you continued the ends with texture in that stencil design :) FUN idea of covering some of the circles with the various finishes...so clever!
