Wedding Series: Is somebody close to you getting married this year? If you're on the lookout for some DIY wedding projects, look no further! This week, we'll be featuring small, easy crafts that can be used for any wedding celebration- bridal showers, the bachelorette or the reception (pretty sure the list can go on:) ).
The wedding color trend this year is all about soft colors like pastels and neutrals. To keep with the trend, we're featuring our Neutrals and Subtle Tones color collection in all of our posts.
We hope you have as much fun as we did with making these crafts!
Hello Blogosphere! It's Tiffany here today with a special Wedding Invitation and Tassel Garland. If you've ever been recruited by your friends & family to help create their "special day" unique and crafty, you know just how important it is to keep everything streamlined and easy-to-mass-produce. This duo is every simple and easy to create- promise!
Invitation:
- Create a 4"x6" invitation using your wordprocessing program, photoshop, or photoshop elements program. I used the following fonts: Znikomit, Suilly La Tour.
- Die-cut invitations using Lawn Fawn's 4"x6" Stitched Journaling Card Lawn Cuts Die.
- Using the Subtle Tones Stamper's Big Brush Pens, stamp small flower and leaf images onto the invitation. I used Lawn Fawn's Penelope's Blossoms.
- Add washi tape for a quick and easy embellishment.
Tassel Garland:
- On watercolor paper, create rectangles of color using the Neutral Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils & the Deluxe Waterbrush. I created a gradient effect.
- Once dry, use the Sizzix Tassel Thinlits Die, die-cut the tassel and assemble according to the directions using washi tape on some of the tassles to match the invitations.
- String onto twine. I used Lawn Fawn's Silver Sparkle Cord.
I told you it was simple! Seriously....a 4-step wedding invation! YES PLEASE! And a 3-step garland, for the win! Now, you have more time to create that wedding scrapbook you know the happy couple will be asking for....
