Hi, it’s Jill here playing with my favorite Faber-Castell mediums on a Punky Sprouts corrugate surface.
I thought it would be fun to share my top three tips/hints for creating this piece…
Tip/Hint #1: Use a piece of neutral patterned paper for your background. (grey stripes) Because it is neutral, you can add Gelatos™ on top in whatever color you like while also seeing the patterned paper design show through.
Tip/Hint #2: Cut your flowers from a variety of patterned papers and add shading using Stamper’s Big Brush Pens. Outline the image with a black Stamper’s Big Brush pen to add definition to your designs.
Tip/Hint #3: Add white highlights and details using the Stamper’s Big White Pen. You can even color through a stencil for extra texture (white dots).
I hope you are inspired to RELAX and create some mixed media magic. And until next time… hugs and happy stamping!
Supplies: Stamper’s Big Brush Pens, Gelato™, Stamper’s Big White Pen, Gel Medium, Gesso
