Hello! It's Amy , to share a card I made, to celebrate the coming of fall (the best season of all in Kansas, I believe), with the shining silver (or blue) moons, crisp, colorful leaves, and cool evenings.
Since I enjoy fall so much, and I wanted to create a sweet, colorful and textural card to send to my mom who shares the love of this season as well. I decided to start with a black paper crafter's crayon, Halloween Patterned Paper, and a texture fades embossing folder, to make an interesting and fun background.
Next, I painted over the top of the crayoned area, using gelatos that were diluted into a paint, using water. I also distressed the edges of the card, and inked them.
When that had dried, I did some stamping, added some more Halloween patterned papers alont the left border/corner, and then used a gelato again, to add fun splatters of color:
Finally, I stamped two moon images (onto an old manilla filofax divider), and then painted over them with gelatos, cut them out, and added them using pop dots. All that was left? Embellishing!
The result is a fun celestial greeting, that is perfect for this coming season!
Thanks so much for having a look at my card today, and I hope you have a lovely weekend. For more crafty inspiration from me, visit my blog at: www.sparklinggnome.com
Amy Lynne Lassiter I am a mom to 3 lovely daughters, the wife to my best friend from college, a singer and librarian. I dream of living in Hawaii some day very soon, but for now, I make my home in northeast Kansas. I grab every spare second I can to create art...using as much mixed media as I can on scrapbook pages, altered items, art journal pages and more; expressing my heart, emotion, and soul on each project. As well as having the honor of being a guest designer for Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft, I also design for Gauche Alchemy, UmWowStudio, Viva Las VegaStamps, Genuinely Jane Studios, and Paper Issues.
Beautiful.

I love how you created your background with the Paper Craft Crayon and embossing folder - will have to give this a try :) Great pops of colors with lots of details!
