Hi- AJ here to share a card using Faber-Castell Design Memory Crafts Aquarelles Watercolor Pencils and Stamper's Big Brush Markers.
I love using the Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils on my projects-they make coloring SO easy!
To start my card- I stamped my flowers using VersaFine Archival pigment ink masking the flowers off to add a few leaves in.
To pick my color my palette, I scribble several colors onto scrap paper and see what I like. I know I wanted some orange in it, so I scribble several other colors next to it to see what I like best together. I then start with the green leaves by coloring the Aquarelle onto the scrap paper and pick up the color with a wet paintbrush.
After finishing the leaves, I start with the flowers. I usually almost always color onto scrap paper first, then pick up color with a wet brush. I add red in layers, you can the see the top flower is much darker sicne I added two layers of color onto it.
I finish up my red layer, and start adding a bit of the orange to the center.
I then go in with some pale pink to blend with the red.
For the bottom flower, I colored directly onto it with the Aquarelle and then wet with a brush to blend it in.
To add some depth, texture and defnition to my flowers, I add some color in with the Stampers Big Brush Markers in Green Olive #167, Pale Geranium Lake #121, Orange Glaze # 113, & Deep Scarlet Red #219. I lightly go over the pink area, adding some lines, I dot the orange area a bit more, and then add a bit of red to the darker middle ring. I also add a little bit more definition to the leaves.
