Hello Everyone!!
Isha here, sharing my post as Guest Designer at Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®. Today I want to show you how to create a simple Mirror using various techniques using Gelatos®,Stamper’s Big Brush Pens, PITT® Artist Pen, Gesso, Gel Medium and Glaze.
It's really fun playing with all the various products and experimenting ways to combine them.
This is how I created it:
I applied Gesso to the wooden frame and let it dry.
Next, I stippled some Gesso onto the stencil using the stippling brush that comes in the Tool kit.
Stamped the Girl images onto a tissue paper and let it dry. (it takes a while to dry!)
Adhered the images onto the base using Gel Medium. It gives a matt finish.
Next, I colored the images using various colors. To make the girls pop, I made a shadow effect using the grey Gelato. All these various mediums blend beautifully. Love this quality of Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft products!
Now I rubbed some Gelato over the stencil and blended it using Gesso, which gives a soft look and a bit of dimension too. Beautiful effect and texture in real life.
Stamped the sentiment and other images. I doodled a bit onto the edges to define them.
Once finished, I applied a layer of Glaze so nothing will get smudged when you touch it.
AND!!! The finished mirror is ready to be decorated in my daughter's wall. Hope you give some of these techniques a try :)
PS. if you don't have a mirror, you could also create a photo frame using these steps.
