Our featured designer today is Lisa Adametz!
If you can go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I'd love to go to New Zealand and Italy. New Zealand just because it's so beautiful and Italy because of the art history.
What's your favorite food?
Spicy food! Mexican, Thai...that kind of thing. Nothing weird.
What's your 'signature' crafting technique?
I would call it feminine artsy. I love ALL kinds of techniques and embrace layers.
And finally...any words to our readers?
Don't ever be afraid to try something new or something out of your comfort zone. It's at times like these that you may find something that brings you the most joy.
Hi!
It’s Lisa here and I’m so super thrilled to be up on the blog today. I love
finding new things to do with my Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft products.
I started playing around (I know…again!!) with my Gelatos® and I wanted to try to do something new. Now, a background may not seem like a “new” idea, but it’s really HOW you create it. I really feel like all the colors in the Gelato® family could be used so beautifully for a background like this.
Here’s my little how-to-guide. Sorry there aren’t more pics. My camera DIED!! I tried my best until I was able to get new batteries. :)
I used canvas letters, a die, and a fun wood heart for my focal elements. But, really? The background is the true show-stopper here. The washi and the sequins just add a little something extra, but those colors from the Gelatos® just POP! This card sure makes ME happy. :)
Wishing all of you a wonderful weekend. xoxo
Love,

Lisa Adametz I'm a veteran of the United States Air Force and a stay-at-home "mom" to two beautiful Ragdoll kitties.Creativity is in my blood and I've always been making something. Cross-stitch, silk ribbon embroidery...I love the creative process! I first looked into making cards as a way to keep in touch with family and friends after moving to CA in 2008 and wanting more than store-bought cards could offer. In my eyes cards are personal mini-pieces of art and a part of your soul that you are sending through the mail. I love dimension and color. LOTS of color.
Terrific techniques and wonderful interview!! Thank you for sharing!!
