Hey there crafters Rita Barakat here on day four of the
Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft/Little Yellow Bicycle hop!
Here is a layout I created using the Poppy collection and various supplies.
Here is the info:
First I used a light coat of gesso ove this entire paper- I used a brayer to make it thin enough so I
could still see some of the words. Then I went over the entire paper with a water filled paint brush and Gelatos- (Cotton Candy and Green Tea).
Alot of this banner was already cut(form the paper crafting kit) I filled in by cutting my own pieces from the Naturals burlap tags and other paper inthis collection. I used a PITT artist pen to draw the stitching. a thin twine tied it all together!
Flowers and frames:
The frames are from the chipboard collection. I added twine and bits of white with a pencil dipped in gesso for accents. I colored the sweet canvas bird sticker with the Cotton Candy Gelato and PITT Artist pens in green olive(167) , cadium yellow(107) and dark chrime yellow(109).
The flowers already come perferated! How cool is that? I added layers, stems (twine colored with PITT Artist pen -167), and leaves by cutting teardrop shaped canvas pieces. I colored them with
PITT Artist pen -167- blending with a watercolor paint brush filled with water, added black lines and white accents of gesso.
After the pieces were in place it still needed something so I added polka dots with drywall tape as a stencil and a White Big Brush to fill it in, some places I used a Squid Ink Gelato. I was very happy with the result! I hope you are too!
