Hello Blogosphere! It's Tiffany here with a fun project using the Creativity for Kids Make Your Own Enchanted Story Book Kit! Follow along and you'll learn some easy ways to incorporate supplies you have on hand and Design Memory Craft products while still making it easy & fun for your kiddos!
Want to win this kit? Tell us who you want to craft this with in the comments section below. The winner will be announced tomorrow.
Before you get started I highly recommend gathering up the following supplies:
- Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft PITT Artist Pen (S)
- Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Pen (Black)
- Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Papercrafter's Crayons
- Various Stamps (Lawn Fawn: Critters Ever After, Sunny Skies, A Birdie Told Me, Cozy Christmas)
- A rough-draft of your story
- Smocks for the kiddos (it will get messy)
- Use the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft PITT Artist Pen (S) in black to tell your story! These are archival and light-fast.
- Then, have your child help you stamp various images to illustrate the story using the Stamper's Big Brush Pen in Black.
- The kids LOVE using the included stickers to enhance the story!
- Your children can use your Papercrafter's Crayons to color and illustrate! These are unbreakable twist-up crayons, so they're very easy to use.
- For the littles, pre-toddlers & toddlers, you can create a palette of using various Stamper's Big Brush Pens and a large stamp block. Just dip their little fingers in the ink and create shapes into the book! I made a flower using my daughter's little thumb!
- The markers that are included in the kit are PERFECTLY sized for your pre-toddlers and toddlers! Here's Lilli adding the finishing touches (aka scribbles) to our book.
- To personalize the photo, just use a post-it to trace the inside, cut it out, and use it as a cutting guide on a small 2" x 2" photo!
Here is our completed book in a slideshow:
My kids are 7, 5, and 15 months and I had so much fun involving each of them in making this wonderful keepsake! I was going to send it to their great-grandma, but I don't know...I think I'll keep it for myself!
Happy Crafting,
