Hello, Irit here! We all love to use bare brown chipboards, but usually we cover them with white paint or gesso to get the best coloring results. Today I am going to show you how you can skip this step and to move to chipboards painting with Faber Castell Design Memory Craft products and to get some really nice results.
Step 1:
Paint a chipboard with Faber Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Pens. I picked this flower chipboard to make my step by step tutorial, but you can see much more over my finished layout later. I used Chrome Green and Pink Madder Big Brushes here and the permanent India ink is just perfect as we don't need to dry them before the next step.
Step 2:
After the full Big Brush coverage add some watercolor Gelatos over it. I used Red Cherry, Lime and Green Tea for this step. Add some paint over the edges and don't use any water, just your fingers to spread the colors over the first paint layer.
Step 3:
Add some highlights with White, Guava and Lemon Gelatos, again don't add any water, just use your fingers to mix the colors over the chipboard.
Step 4:
Add some glaze over the flowers only and use some fine translucent glitter over your glazed parts.
Here is your finished piece.
And now for my final project as this chipboard was painted just as my small tutorial.
I made this Mixed Media layout with Faber Castell Design Memory Craft products only, with a lot of stamps and a lot of imagination.
The background cardstock was stamped with Visible Image background stamps and Stamper's Big Brush Pens: circles check pattern, grass and trees. Some of them were then covered with a bit of gesso for the mute look. I added some circles with gesso and a template too and then painted 3 big chipboards with the same products I used for my tutorial.
I also made some mists to make the sky and an overall coloring on this page using some Lime, Green Tea, Cotton Candy and Lemon Gelatos and a drop of hot water to make the easy mist.
