Hello everyone! Today I would like to share a Altered Mini Notepad I made using Gelatos and PITT Artist pens from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. I’m so excited about this project because is for my Best Friend!! I used Gelatos as watercolor and DTP. Here’s how I made it:
I gathered my supplies: Gelatos: Grape Metallic , Butterscotch Metallic and mint Metallic, Bubble and White, PITT Artist Pens: Green & Ruby Metallic and Black, Brush, plastic cup, water, cardstock and Mini Notepad.
Step 1
Add some Gelatos scratch on the cardstock add as much color as you like! I used: Metallic, Butterscotch Metallic and mint Metallic, Bubble and White. You will end up with something like this
Step 2
Using your brush apply water and blended the colors. Add more color if you like! Make sure you use watercolor papers or water absorbed so you’re CS doesn’t soak because it will ruin your work.
Step 3
When you are comfortable with the watercolor background get your PITT Artist Pens and draw some doodles on it….. I just add some swirl and circle using the various pens color.
I used the various points of the PITT Artist pens: black to make the doodle and some dots on the corner of the background then add some sentiments and sayings to the swirl. It was fun writing on the swirl!! You will end up with this.
Step 4
When your done and completely satisfied with your background and doodles leave it to dry completely or if you are desperate like me use your heat gun to dry it!!
Step 5
When is completely dry glue it to the front of your Mini Notepad and embellish as you like, I used a purple ribbon to the edge with a not that really goes with the background and as a finished touch I add my best friend initial to the front.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my project as much as I did!! I know that my Best friend will love it when she gets it…. Shhhh! don’t tell her yet!
Thanks and have a great day!
