Welcome to the November edition of Take the Challenge with Mou!
I feel that creative challenges help us experiment and learn new things. Challenges can help us get unstuck from creative ruts. They can also inspire us to create in ways we would not have thought of otherwise. So, I decided to take a few creative challenges myself and thought you might like to play along.
Every month, on the first Monday, I'll post a challenge and my take on it. You'll have 12 days to take this on. Leave a comment to the challenge post with a link to your creation based on that challenge. The following Monday, we will pick THREE winners randomly from among the readers who participated in that week's challenge. And the winners will get a prize from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®.
Today's challenge is themed: Create a project that relates to something you are thankful for! Being November, I'm thinking Thanksgiving. Every year, I do a project where I list the things I'm thankful for. Last year, I created this project, "Grateful, Every Day" for Big Picture Classes.
And this year, I have created small canvas panels by decoupaging embossed cardstock and coloring them with gelatos and big brush markers and decorated them with feathers, words, etc.
Don't forget to share your clallenge creations with us...just leave a comment with link to your project image(s) by Friday, 11/16 and we will pick THREE winners randomly to win a set of prizes each!
The prizes for this challenge are:
TWO packs of Art GRIP® Aquarelles in your choices of colors!!!
There are 4 color choices to pick from: BLUE, GREEN, RED, and YELLOW.
Don't forget to check back on Monday, 11/19 to see if YOU won!
Hope you play along!
Mou Saha Mou won the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame in 2007, was a member of their Dream Team in 2009 and you've seen her work in numerous craft publications. She currently collaborates with 7 Gypsies, Anna Griffin, Glitz Design and October Afternoon.
I love the canvas panel. Just starting to try working on canvas. Appreciate any tips I can get. Would love the blue and green aquarelles.

I was so excited to find this challenge blog - and that was only yesterday, so I wonder if I made it in time! I did not find the info on what time zone you observe, but it's before midnight for me, so I'm hopeful! If I happened to win the prize, I'd like the red and blue ones, please.
