Hi everyone, Mou here with today's post. I was so inspired by Colleen McGinty's lovely post Flowers with the Stamper's Big white Pen, that I wanted to make something with the new Stamper's Big White Pen. I got a chance to play with it at CHA and had been impressed right away. I've long struggled to find a good opaque white pen that flows smoothly and does more than just lighten the shade of the background. But I think I have found it now :) This one's opaque, waterproof, acid-free, and lightfast... it's India ink.
Let me walk you through the steps.
1. Rub Black Licorice gelato on watercolor paper.
2. Blend gelato with Mix & Match Deluxe Waterbrush. Repeat as needed to ensure good coverage. Let dry.
3. Stamp three pumpkins using Black Stamper's Big Brush Pen.
4. Color pumpkins with Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils and blend colors with Mix & Match Deluxe Waterbrush.
5. Cut out pumpkins and stack them on the page as shown. Write Halloween in cursive lettering along the left edge of the page using Stamper's Big White Pen.
6. I wanted to add a facing page so I can write a quote. I colored a leftover corrguated cardboard piece with Black Licorice gelato.
7. Once dry, I wrote a quote with the Stamper's Big White Pen.
The spread came together like this... love how intense the white ink turned out to be!
I hope you enjoyed today's tutorial. Don't forget to check out the Stamper's Big White Pen!
