Hi everyone, Mou here with a mixed media decor tutorial using the new Mixed Media Paper Stencils - 305 (Wedding)!

Collect the following supplies and follow along -

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Mixed Media Paper Stencils - 305 (Wedding)

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gesso

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Texture Luxe™ Gold

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Texture Luxe™ Silver

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Whipped Spackle

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Glass Bead Glitter Gel

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos - Translucents (0r Gelatos colors of your choice)

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Palette Knife

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Silicone spatula (optional)

8" x 8" stretched canvas

Plastic wrap

Apply a coat of gesso to the canvas. Let dry.

Add a base coat of colors using the Gelatos colors - Translucents - Lychee, Creme De Menthe, Thistle and Persimmon and blend them with a sponge. You can replace these colors with Gelatos colors of your choice or those that match your event/occasion color scheme.

Apply a thin top coat of Texture Luxe™ Silver with palette knife.

Immediately cover the wet canvas with a piece of plastic wrap. Smoosh the plastic over the wet Texture Luxe™ Silver around gently with your fingers to create texture. Leave the wrap on till the Texture Luxe™ Silver dries. Do not try to speed up the drying process with a heat tool as the heat might melt the plastic onto the canvas.

Carefully peel away the plastic wrap to reveal the textured surface.

Lay the Always & Forever stencil at about the center of the canvas and apply Whipped Spackle with palette knife. Avoid applying Whipped Spackle on the 'o' or wedding ring part of the Forever. Let the medium dry thoroughly.

Apply Texture Luxe™ Gold on the wedding rings part of the Always & Forever stencil with palette knife. Let dry completely.

Apply Glass Bead Glitter Gel to create the gem part of the wedding rings using the Always & Forever stencil and palette knife. Let dry.

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and would play with the Mixed Media Paper Stencils - 305 (Wedding) and various mediums to create fun projects for your home or to give as gift!

Using Faber Castell Gelatos with Stencils

I am so honored to be able to be on the Core Design Team 2017-2018. My name is Lindsay and I blog at seeLINDSAY. I love to show how easy things are to accomplish and that you don't need a lot of tools to get a great craft or recipe. Today I am going to show you how to use the Faber-Castell® Gelatos® with their coordinating stencils. Something so easy, you'll wonder why you didn't try it before.
How to use Faber Castell Stencils (1 of 1)

How to use Faber Castell Stencils (1 of 1)-2

Begin by unwrapping your stencil and choosing your design. I chose the Honeycomb stencil and I used washi tape to help adhere it to the surface before I began mixing my Gelatos. Take your whipped spackle and use a marble size amount and now just spread your Gelatos next to the spackle on your palette. The warmer your Gelatos, the easier it will spread. I mixed 3 different colors with 3 different bits of spackle. How to use Faber Castell Stencils (1 of 1)-3
Once your color and your spackle are mixed, used your palette knife and spread it over the stencil onto your wood. When you're adhering your stencil, be sure to place it as secure as it can be so that no spackle will go under your image. Lift up your stencil and set aside to dry. Seriously, that's it. It's so simple and gives your project such great dimension. I'm excited to put these chevron arrows into my boy's room. They've been sitting in the garage for 2 years cause I wanted to do something more than just arrows. Now with my Gelatos and stencils they finally have the look I was going for. I hope you'll find inspiration in this project.

Hi Loves, Tiare here.   Planning is all the rage and I am surely an avid planner and list maker.  However, as an artist I prefer to add my own little artsy touches to pages.  I especially like adding art to my lists or bullet journal pages.  The touch of color and beauty just makes the task a lot happier and more beautiful.

Grab your Gelatos® Highlighters and let's make a "pretty" list.  Check out my quick video to see how:

An Art Journal Page with Gelatos® Color IRIDESCENTS Comet

Hello there, a very Happy April to you all!

Today I want to share with you an art journal page that was inspired by a fortune cookie using Gelatos® Color IRIDESCENTS Comet.

Let's start with the supply list.

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos® Color IRIDESCENTS Comet, Blue Moon, Nebula, Satellite, Black Hole

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Essential PITT Artist Pens BLACK

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stencils 101 10 ct Collection

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Textural Accents & Tools: Gel Medium, Whipped Spackle, Gelatos Tool Set

Other: mixed media paper, found papers, lace, thread, sewing machine, foam stamp, die-cuts, paint brushes

Let's get started.

Rub Gelatos® Color IRIDESCENTS Comet, Nebula, Satellite and Blue Moon on mixed media paper or your own art journal.

Blend with water. Wet a foam stamp with water and color it with Gelatos colors Nebula and Satellite. Stamp a few times on the page.

Sew a piece of lace at the top of the page.

With Gel Medium attach pieces of found papers all around the page.

Place stencil on page and trace the shapes with PITT Artist pen. Repeat in at least two other areas of the page.

Attach some die-cuts and more found papers to the page with Gel Medium.

Rub some Black Hole Gelatos on a palette or craft mat. Dilute a bit with water to create your own "ink". Use the ink to brush letter the prompt, which in this case is a fortune from a fortune cookie.

With a palette knife apply some Whipped Spackle to add texture to the page. Let dry.

And there you have it, the finished art journal page!
