Hi everyone! Carisa here with you today and I am stepping out of my normal color palette with you on an art journal journey that took me quite a few places before I found my happy place. That's one of my most favorite parts of pulling out an art journal to play in…learning new things, discovering new colors and trying new ways to work with different mediums. We're doing all that and more today, so I hope you will join me and maybe take the challenge I gave myself to pick up colors I wouldn't normally reach for. You never know, you might find a new favorite like I did...Gelatos® Colors Passion Fruit, anyone!?
Mixed Media Sampler
We started this journey last Monday and encouraged readers to join the designers every week for a month to create their own art journals. I hope you have your journal and inspiration piece picked out.
Hello Blogosphere! It's Tiffany here today with a Video Tutorial showing you how I created the foundation for my Art Journal Boards. You'll learn different ways to use Gesso, Gel Medium, and Whipped Spackle including Photo Transfers! You'll also see the various ways Stampendous Stamps lend AWESOME texture to those Art Journal pages.
Once my art journal's foundation was dry, I went at hand-painted various titles with Chalkboard Paint & then added some color with PITT Pastel Pencils. This is similar to my Art Journal Cover's title!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Stop by next week to see how I jazz it up a wee bit more!

Hi everyone! Nicoletta is there for show you the last project. I love Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft products and for this tag i used a mix of techniques with them.
Is a brilliant tag and is a rough tag. Contrasting shades, different textures, brilliance and opacity live together in this work.
Hi crafty friends! It's Lisa here with you today and I'm sharing a few techniques on a mini journal board that I had fun with. I had a big "oopsie" in making this project, but I worked with it and allowed it to guide me in a very cool direction. Make sure to scroll down for the video!
I hope that you enjoyed my video and laughed along with me. ;) I really enjoyed making this piece as I wasn't sure what exactly I was going to do when I started, but I love how it turned out.

Hello, Daniela Dobson here with my last post as a Guest Designer. This was such a wonderful opportunity to design with a fabulous company and products!
I have been admiring the glittery reindeer silhouettes lately and wanted to create one for myself. If you remember my first canvas, that I created not that long ago. That one is looking a little lonely on my mantel and it needs a friend.
Today, I have a challenge for you. I feel that creative challenges help us experiment and learn new things. Challenges can help us get unstuck from creative ruts. They can also inspire us to create in ways we would not have thought of otherwise. So, I decided to take a few creative challenges myself and thought you might like to play along.
Every month, on the first Monday, I'll post a challenge and my take on it. You'll have 12 days to take this on. Leave a comment to the challenge post with a link to your creation based on that challenge. The following Monday, we will pick TWO winners randomly from among the readers who participated in that week's challenge. And the winners will get a prize from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®.
Today's challenge is themed: Christmas Greetings!
Hard to believe that 2012 is already coming to an end and it's time for the Holidays! And Holidays means gifts, greetings, and more... So, here's my Christmas greeting for you all!
Hello, Daniela Dobson here with a quick holiday card.
