I *heart* mix and match

Celebrate you layout

Hi everyone Beck Beattie here with my first Guest Design Team post and I am so very excited to be shaing with you today!

When I got my package of yummy products to play with I just couldn't wait to get started.  I have always loved products by Faber-Castell and the new collection of yummy products released recently at CHA are just DIVINE to work with!

Today I am sharing a mixed media Scrapbook page I created of my little boy on his birthday.

I had so much fun mixing it all up with the different items in there that I created a video to show you how I used the various Faber-Castell® products together.

These products are designed to work well with each other as I have done on this layout.  Why not give it a go to mix things up a little and share with us on the Design Memory Crafts Facebook page here.  I'd LOVE to see what you create!

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Art GRIP® Aquarelle Valentines

Hello! Dana Tatar here today sharing some valentines that I created with the Red Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils. I used the watercolor pencils along with some Gel Medium to create the string heart embellishments for my valentines. The richly pigmented water-soluble lead from the pencils turns into permanent, waterproof and lightfast watercolor, so my dyed string hearts are just as vibrant as the watercolor on the paper.

Wedding Series: Mixed Media - will you try it?

jan 2014 019   Hey there creative people Rita Barakat here! When I am out and about I hear two things- either you are an avid follower of the blog and never do any mixed media because you are intimidated by mixed media but you love looking at it or you just cant get enough! Either way, todays post is for you!  Mixed media- will you try it? Time to get your hands dirty! (Or get your gloves out- yes I know you!) "The best is yet to come" would that be a great theme for  a wedding? Exciting times starting on a new venture ! I made this little canvas as I was thinking of a table with gifts and mementos at a wedding. How sweet would it be there with the other best wishes for the bride and groom! This project is simple enough for the beginner as a quick and easy project if you are an old pro!

Isha

Our featured designer today is Isha Gupta!

If you can go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would like to go to Rome and Egypt.

What's your favorite food?

I love Chinese and Mexican vegetarian food.

What's your 'signature' crafting technique?

I love playing with colors using a variety of mediums. I tend to create clean and simple designs.

And finally...any words to our readers?

I'm so excited to be here at Faber Castell Design Memory Crafts, sharing my creations with you all!! Have fun with whatever you create, it's an art in itself :)

Hello Everyone!!
Isha here, sharing my 3rd. post as Guest Designer at Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®. Since it's summer vacation in two weeks, I decided to create actual post cards to send to friends. The scenes are inspired by the nature in Switzerland. Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® products along with the wonderful Art Impression Stamps (watercolor line) and the Hero Arts post card stamp made a perfect combination for my project.

I used the water color technique. The color code system by Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® makes it easy to pick the right colors using various products.
I created three post cards. On the front side, I created the water color scene using Art Impression stamps, and if you flip it, you'll see the stamped post card image by Hero Arts.

Friends Scrapbook Layout

  Friends1

Hi everyone, it's Anita here and I want to share a layout I made using a variety of Faber-Castell® products. I love adding visual texture to my layouts using pens and markers. It is a great way to add a lot of detail without adding a lot of bulk (which is a big problem with me!)

A great way to make a die-cut sticker pop off the page is to simply outline it with a contrasting color as I have done here. I used my Stamper's Big Brush Pen in Cobalt Turquoise around the outside of my die cut and I used my PITT® Artist Pen in Black on the inside.
