Hi everyone, it's Anita here and I want to share a layout I made using a variety of Faber-Castell® products. I love adding visual texture to my layouts using pens and markers. It is a great way to add a lot of detail without adding a lot of bulk (which is a big problem with me!)
A great way to make a die-cut sticker pop off the page is to simply outline it with a contrasting color as I have done here. I used my Stamper's Big Brush Pen in Cobalt Turquoise around the outside of my die cut and I used my PITT® Artist Pen in Black on the inside.
The phrase, "One door closes so another can open" comes to mind when I think of the blessings and disappointments in life. When something happens, we often don't understand the meaning but if we think about how things happen for a reason, it all seems better! This layout is a tribute to that idea.
I just love the chance to get all inky and messy for these Design Memory Crafts posts, mixed media has always always been my big love but I rarely get chance to do much of it these days so it's a real treat for me to sit and have a play - and I am so lucky that I am part of this fabulously talented team and able to use such an awesome range of products and show you what they can do! In fact I get so wrapped up in what I'm doing I go like the clappers and usually forget to take photos!
This art journal page was such a joy to make and I think I used ALL my Design Memory Craft products all in one place so I hope I didn't go too mad!
Hello, friends! Vivian here today with my second post as a Guest Blogger with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. Did you know that yesterday was Make Your Dreams Come True Day? Well, in honor of this meaningful day, I crafted this Art Journaling page along with a coordinatingvideo tutorial in which I share some techniques for creating fluidity in your compositions.
The dreams I have for myself as I approach the big FOUR OH bear no resemblance to the dreams I had for myself growing up - they're not nearly as outrageous, but in some sense, equally difficult to realize.
This tireless performer in our Vegas garden very much encapsulates what I'd like to see for myself artistically this year - the ability to thrive with little coddling, and spiritually - to respond in trying situations the way this one below truly embraces the scorching Vegas sun.
My name is Patricia Chalas and this is my first project to share with you as a guest designer with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft. I have created Aquarelle Background Tags today using Mixed Media Aquarelles & Ink.
Hi everyone, Mou Saha here with today's project using supplies from Faber Castell Design Memory Craft, Creative Imaginations, and Xyron. With Christmas just around the corner, I'm busy making handmade ornaments to adorn our tree and to include in gifts this year.
Hi it is Cathy here again, I am so excited as today I want to share a video with you showing how to dry emboss a stamped image without the need for a light box! Whilst creating this project I discovered that the Aquarelle pencils work really well on pearl coated card stock; when water is added the colours move around easily making blending a sinch!
This card has been created using Mixed Media Aquarelles and Ink sets.
I love how easy the Aquarelle and Ink sets make it to create a card with colours that tone well together and it is an added bonus being able to colour my seam binding to match my flowers with the Stampers Big Brush pen to get a totally co-ordinated look.
With it being back-to-school time already I got to thinking about how much I love a good, standard, old-school pencil! And I like them even more when they look cool, so I embellished mine!
I just took a couple of sheets of book paper (sorry librarians!), and I randomly painted it up using Gelatos™ Colors and PITT® Artist Pens.
Hi there! It's Tiffany here to share a fun DIY Wedding Invitation Tutorial! If you're a crafter like me, I'm certain you've been asked once or twice to make invitations for your friends and family! Well, here's a fun way to incorporate the hottest trend, watercolor! We will be using the Art Grip Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils in the blues and greens.
MIX & MATCH from Faber-Castell makes designing with COLOR simple. Choose a color set that inspires you. Choose a medium. Mix & Match as you create. Color coordinated palettes give you the freedom to design your project knowing the colors & mediums will work beautifully together.
Indeed, a common technique, but definitely a not-so-common result! Love that the "colors" are all neutrals, and as such, go so well with the mix of photos. A beautiful layout, and well-written/photographed tutorial. Love this!
Your pages are so unique & fabulous, Alexandra--just the right backgrounds & embellishments to add to the appeal & not detract from the pictures. Today's background is one of my favorites--so elegant & beautiful! Thanks for the clear directions.
Great post - love seeing pictures of the Hobby Show! Hope to go one of these days - maybe next year :) Those plastic dolls have been in Japan for decades - too funny!
