No Line Watercoloring Technique

Nolinevideo1

Hello Blogosphere! It's Tiffany with another Video Tutorial for you! Today, I'll be sharing a way to recreate the No Line Coloring method with Watercoloring! For this technique, we'll be stamping our images with the Stamper's Big Brush Pens in Subtle Colors & then coloring with Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils and Gelatos®.

There are so many benefits to using the Stamper's Big Brush Pens:

  • Lightfast, so they don't fade in the sun or over time
  • Odorless, no nasty migraines from fumes
  • Permanent, perfect to Mix & Match with the watercoloring mediums
  • No Bleed-through, so you can stamp or color with these without worrying about the ink bleeding through your cardstock!
  • India Ink

I hope you're inspired to try this technique at home! I just love the soft artsy results :)

Watercolored Animal Stack!

Hello Blogosphere!

It's Tiffany here today and I have a video tutorial showing you how I used my most favorite coloring medium, the Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils, to create this cute birthday card for Lawn Fawn's 5th Birthday!

What's not to love about these awesome pencils? Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils are so many things.

  1. Water Soluble, so they glide onto wet surfaces!
  2. Waterproof once dry, which is great for adding layers and depth!
  3. Lightfast, so they never fade!
  4. They're as precise or blended as you want them to be!
  5. The leads never break when sharpened.
  6. Their triangular grips ensure they don't roll around on your desk!
  7. You can use them with all of the other mediums in the Faber-Castell® Design Memory Craft® Mix & Match product line!

I could go on & on, but really just watch the video and you'll see just how easy it is to color with these!

Be Happy | A Scrapbooking Tutorial by Irit Landgraf

2015-02-1o2 12

Hi! I am beyond excited to share with you my first project as a guest designer on the Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® blog.

I am a 12*12 scrapbooker at heart, so today I'll show some of my favorite ways to use Gelatos®, Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils and Stamper’s Big Brush Pens. Let's get started!

I prepped my paper with a thin layer of gesso because I knew I wanted to use Gelatos® and lots of water, and I find the color flows better when my surface is primed. I had to go with one of my favorite color schemes lately, purples and aquas. You can find a list of all the products I used at the end of this post.

For Day 1, I have an ir-RISIST-ible trim for ya featuring May Arts 1" Solid Wrinkled Ribbon in White with a Texture Gems Ice Liner watercolor resist technique! Before I dive into my project, I wanted to share with you, my most meaningful Valentine EVER...

"Once upon a time in 6th grade, my first boyfriend (more like dude I waved to across the classroom and occasionally sat next to at lunch) gave me a cheesy Tasmanian Devil card with a box of chocolates. I wasn't a huge Tasmanian Devil fan, but soon after I started watching the cartoons with lovey dovey moon eyes and the Whitman chocolates were pretty special at the time, considering my 11-year-old palette ;) I look back on it now and it was one of those lame first Valentine's Day moments I'm certain we all get hazed into- teddy bears, chocolates, roses, balloons, tasmanian devil cards...right?! But, it still holds a special place in my heart."

Okay onto the quick technique video tutorial:

I hope to learn about some of your most memorable Valentines!!!! I also hope you enjoyed to quick technique video! I loved working with the May Arts Ribbon.

10413330_594249277351752_3071880075318103672_n (1)

Hello Blogosphere! Welcome to Day 4 of the Unity Stamps and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Blog Hop!  It's Tiffany here and I thought I'd show you a timeless Faux Leather Technique with Gelatos and how I used that super cute Boots, Class and Sass Itty Bitty stamp set from Unity!

TiffUnityMain

You'll need the following supplies for this tutorial:

TiffUnityStep1

1. For a Faux Leather look, color an A2 card base with various earth-toned gelatos (cinnamon, iced chai, butterscotch).

TiffUnityStep2

2. Blend with a wet paintbrush.

TiffUnityStep3

3. Spray with water and ball it up to create wrinkles. The water makes the paper more pliable!

TiffUnityStep4

4. Flatten the balled up paper, allow to dry, and then apply some chocolate Gelatos with a foam wedge onto the wrinkles! EASY peasy!

Stitching adds that extra fabric charm to your Faux Leather panel!  I had so much fun designing with Unity Stamp Co. & hope you enjoyed this short Faux Leather Tutorial!

Blog Hop with Unity Stamps! Day 3 with Rita Barakat

10413330_594249277351752_3071880075318103672_n

Welcome to Day three of the Unity Stamps and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Blog Hop!  Rita Barakat  here and I thought I'd show you a fun way to use the same stamp three different ways!  Each day we’ll post a new project on our blogs so come back and leave a comment to be entered in our $50 product giveaway! For extra entries, leave a comment on our Facebook page HERE.

RitaBarakat.com2 I received this sweet girl stamp called "Every breath", I love that stand alone she can easily become a work of art by using Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils and a little water.

RitaBarakat.com3 Here she is again, now with the added sentiment and sparkly stars thanks some Glass Bead Glitter Gel and  a star stencil (TCW). I used a little foam tape to pop up the sentiment but worked it right into the design. I also layered her dress - stamping it twice, cutting it out and using foam tape. I used  Gelatos®Colors and a very small paint brush for this piece.

RitaBarakat.com4 Bonus picture, so you can really see the Glass Bead Glitter Gel.

RitaBarakat.com1 And for the minimalist, a simple mat frame will do. I colored this one with Gelatos®Colors and PITT® Artist Pens and added a digital sentiment. I hope that gives you some ideas for using these products!

Blessings!
Rita
