Carolyn Dube with a quick holiday gift tag tutorial using the Pitt Artist Pens Holiday Lettering Set. These pens did it all! They were used to stamp the tree, color the book text, and create the lines on the ribbon.
Using a pen makes it easy to selectively color parts of the stamp, like the star on top and the tree trunk. To stamp with a Pitt Pen, I use the side of the brush tip to add color to parts of the rubber stamp.
The tag, which is just basic white cardstock, has a small piece of vintage book text glued on with Gel Medium. Using the same pen to color that book text is why it matches perfectly with the stamped tree.
Using the black Pitt Pen and a straight edge, I drew lines to frame the stamped image. The ribbon had been plain black ribbon but the gold Pitt Pen is opaque so it shows up wonderfully on the ribbon. Using a straight edge, I customized the ribbon with 4-5 lines on each side.
Thanks for stopping by for a some of Pitt Pen play!
