Fall Art Journaling with Iridescent Gelatos

Hi Friends! Belen here, to share with you my Fall inspired art journal page using a mixture of Gelatos, including Iridescent Gelatos. Fall is my favorite season. I love everything about it... the scents, the cooler evenings, wearing sweaters... San Diego weather permitting, of course! But what I really love about Fall is the colors of the season. 2017-10-18 21.10.22WM
For this journal page I worked with varying shades of brown, orange, blue and even a touch of a gorgeous jewel toned color called Stardust.

I started by layering bits of torn paper, with Gel Medium, to an already gessoed page, and letting that dry.

Once dry, I brushed on a minimal amount of Gesso, to help unify the layer of papers.

While that dried, I stamped leaves onto book paper, using some of my own hand carved stamps.

I then used my Gelatos to add color to my page, dipping my fingers into water to help me blend them together.

Once I was happy with the level of color on my page, I used more Gel Medium to adhere my stamped leaves.

To finish it off, I used Satellite and a bit of Stardust, both from the Iridescents set, around my leaves to help anchor them to the page.

Thanks for following along. Now it's your turn! I hope you'll grab your Gelatos and create a Fall inspired art journal page of your own.

Wishing you a week full of Art and full of Whimsy.

xo, Belen
