DIY Winter Gift Wrap

Wrapping Paper Beauty Shot
The holidays are drawing to a close, but there are always winter birthdays to deal with! This DIY wrapping paper can be used for last-minute Christmas gift wrap or any other gift-giving occassion, just change up your color scheme. Make a few sheets so you will always have some hand.

To create your own gift get some copy paper, a Mixed Media Stencil (I like the Scandinavian set for the winter months.), and Gelatos®. I used 3 Gelatos colors, Metallic Blueberry, Lime, and Red Cherry.

Begin by placing the stencil over your copy paper, then rub the Gelatos® over the stencil. I go back in and smudge the color in with a damp paper towel to get a soft color. Once you have covered the paper, set it aside to dry. Designer Tip: If the paper starts to buckle from the water, allow it to dry completely then place a pressing cloth over it and go over it with a warm iron. Just be careful not to scorch the paper!

Step Two

The wrapping paper looks great with just the Gelatos® but you can take it up a notch and add details and shading with Stamper's Big Brush Pens. I used the White, May Green, and Deep Scarlet Red.

While you have the supplies out, be sure to make some matching gift tags by following the same process on blank tags from the office supply store.
