Subtle Layers with Jamie Dougherty

Hello Everyone! Thank you for joining us on the Design Memory Craft blog. Today, I would like to share with you an art journal tutorial I have created, as part of a challenge I have begun called Gelatos30. Every day from September 4th through October 3rd,  I will be creating a new Art Journal page focusing on Gelatos®. Different techniques, different themes, just a way to encourage you to  get out the Gelatos and push them to their limits. (and myself)

This page was my day 3 page, featuring Iced Current.  A somewhat simple page when all said and done, but the techniques make for a beautiful and rich layout.

Supplies used: Gelatos® Iced Current, Caramel, Cinnamon, and Blood Orange; PITT Artist Pen in Bronze.

I would love for you to join in the #Gelatos®30 challenge. To share your work and be entered into a chance for a Design Memory Craft prize pack, hosted by me, make sure to tag myself @jamielynn dougherty as well as use the #Gelatos®30 hashtag on your photos! I hope these posts will inspire you and encourage you to take a deeper look at your Gelatos. (You can share on Instagram or Facebook)

To get your creative gears moving, here is a video on Subtle Layers using Gelatos®

Jamie what an elegant page! I can not believe you did this on regular paper. The colors you chose are so warm and comforting. Your video made this creation look so simple and flowed beautifully. I felt so calm while watching you create tfs. Have a wonderful weekend!
