Celebrate Canvas Panel Frame in Texture Luxe Tutorial

MargieHiguchi CelebrateCanvasFrameProject FINAL

Today I am sharing a canvas panel frame using all the colors of Design Memory Craft's Texture Luxe™ in Pearl, Gold, Silver and Copper. I love the shimmer, texture and dimension that the Texture Luxe™ offers!

MargieHiguchi CelebrateCanvasFrame Step1

On a 5 x 7" canvas panel, I colored Design Memory Craft® Gelatos® in Mango, Metallic Blueberry and Metallic Mint as shown.

The first color I used was Texture Luxe™ Pearl. By adding water to it, I created a blending medium to use for my background. Not only did it blend but it gave a beautiful subtle pearly shimmer.

To add accent, I first used Texture Luxe™ Silver to stencil through Stencils 10 Ct 101 Collection Hexagon design onto the canvas. Let Dry. Repeat with Texture Luxe™ Gold. I love how both hold its shape ;)

For the Texture Luxe™ Copper, I created a skin by spreading it with a Palette Knife to about ⅛" thick layer onto a non-stick Kraft sheet and let dry overnight.

Once dried, I cut "Celebrate" with my die and manual die cutting machine. Note: just in case, I used an anti-static powder to release the die cut easier.

To adhere "Celebrate," I applied Gel Medium on the back and adhere at the top of canvas. Let Dry. Apply photo corners to my 3 x 4" photo and adhere onto the panel. It's ready to display on your desk with an easel stand!
