Chalkboard Valentines

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a set of chalkboard valentines. I started this project with a set of wood veneer hearts and used Chalkboard Paint, a Stamper's Big Brush Pen and PITT®Artist Pens to add color. I added dimensional metallic accents with the NEW Texture Gems. These valentines are quick and easy to create and fun to personalize!

Step One: Paint wood veneer hearts with Chalkboard Paint. Let Dry.

Step Two: Color and stamp onto the hearts with a White Stamper's Big Brush Pen. Note: The white ink acts as a primer for color, which will be added in the next step. The ink from the colored Stamper's Big Brush Pens and PITT Artist Pens is not visible when applied directly to the chalkboard finish.

Step Three: Color over the white ink with PITT Artist Pens. Note: I used the Red/Yellow PITT Artist Pens Writing Set.

Step Four: Embellish the hearts with Texture Gems Gel Liners. Note: I used Gold, Silver and Pearl Texture Gems, which are sold together in a 3-pack.

Very cool! I like the way you used the Pitt Pen to ink the stamp. The pearls you made with the Gel Liners are beautiful!
