Summer Lovin' Layered Tag

  FC Tag 2

It's summer and the living is FINE and INSPIRING.  Allow the colors and feelings of the season to inspire your creativity, as I did with this tag.  Summer makes me feel happy, warm and playful.  Great motivation for creating an AWESOME tag.

Here are the steps to make your own tag.

FC Tag 11

Add texture to your tag by covering with Whipped Spackle.

FC Tag 10

Color tags using various colors of the PITT® Pastel Pencil(s).  Adding a little water to the tip will make them even more creamy and very deep in color.  Smooth with your finger.

FC Tag 9

Tear a piece of coordinating patterned paper, ink edges.  Use Glaze to adhere and to add a beautiful glaze finish.

FC Tag 8

Add a cool rub on to add interest.

FC Tag 7

Use a flower stencil with Whipped Spackle to create a dimensional flower.

FC Tag 6

Tear a heart from a piece of paper bag.  Color using Gelatos® Double Scoop®  Red Cherry. Spread using a wet paintbrush.  Dry.  Crumple heart.  Ink edges and drag ink pad over the top.  It will ink the creases, creating a cool effect.  Use Glaze to adhere and to add a beautiful glaze finish.

FC Tag 5

Tear a piece of tag to create a diagonal accent.  Color using Gelatos® Double Scoop®  Mango and Bubblegum.  Spread using a wet paintbrush.  Dry.  Run through hand-held corrugator.  Ink edges.

FC Tag 4

Add a few dimensional flowers.

FC Tag 3

 Add a metal dragonfly charm.

FC Tag 2

Finish it off with a little doodle along the bottom and side and add some coordinated fibers at the top.
