Sharing from the Paper Crafters Library

Blog Hop with Penny Black: Today's project by Mou

As the summer sun begins to rise and the temps heat up, what better way to beat the heat than crafting! Join us all this week for a special collaboration with Penny Black. We're sharing fun projects here on our blog using Penny Black stamps AND you'll find projects from the Penny Black designers on their blog featuring our Paper Crafter Crayons and Double Scoop Gelatos. We want you to join in the fun, too, so don't miss the giveaway details at the end of this post.

Hi everyone, Mou here with my project for the hop:

To make this card, you'll need:

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Art GRIP® Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils108, 111, 115 (YELLOW set), 168 (GREEN set)

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gel Medium

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gesso

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Glaze

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos®: Aqua Dolce, Margarita Mix (Tropical Designer Set)Cotton Candy (BLUE set)

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Stamper's Big Brush Pens: Black 199, May Green 170 (3 ct GREEN set), Scarlet Red 118 (3 ct RED set)

Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Metallic PITT Artist pen GOLD

Penny Black Clear stamp set Sunny Hello

Penny Black Clear stamp set Lace Edgings

Others: Cardstock, book page, tissue, pencil, paint brush, adhesive, scissors

And now let me walk you through the steps:

Ink up a sunflower stamp with Black Stamper's Big Brush pen and stamp on cardstock. Cut the flower out. Also stamp the sentiment and cut it out with scissors.

Fold cardstock to make 5.5" x 4.25" card. On the card front, collage various pieces of scrap papers and tissue with Gel Medium. Let dry.

Apply a moderate coat of Gesso to tone down the different papers.

Rub Gelatos and blend them with very little water.

Color the cut out sunflower with watercolor pencils and Stamper's Big Brush pens.

Blend the colors with Glaze.

Add some circles with the Gold Metallic pen. Attach flower and sentiment to finish the card.

Here's a close-up of details
