Mixed Media fun

Fun times wm

Hi, it’s Beck Beattie here again for sadly my last post for my guest design spot term.  I have enjoyed this experience so much and learnt so many new techniques through experimenting with the divine products we received.  I really wanted to have some fun with this last post and play with the different products in some ways I haven’t before, and created this mixed media Scrapbook page.

I just love how the colours, various products and layers come together to create the layout full of details and interest.  To show you just how it all came together I have created a video for you to enjoy and hopefully learn some new techniques.

As you can see I really enjoyed experimenting with the different products and having some fun.  Be sure to play with your products and see what they can do applied in different ways or mixed with other products for unusual effects.   Here are some close ups of the textures created in the layout.

So *THAT* is what you are supposed to use that large inner well of the palette for!! I have one just like that that I use all the time, but thought that big well in the middle was rather impractical. Ha!
Very sweet project. Who knew you could work such magic with Gelatos and Glaze!!!

The whipped spackle was my favorite. I can see so many potential uses for this! Great tutorial!

I already have more Gelatos on my shopping list, hoping to have a rainbow of them one day and NOW I NEED to try the Glaze too => THANK YOU for sharing your tutorial today and introducing more creative techniques for me to try :)
PS - the splatters look really cool against your stamping too!!!

HOw fun and cute and artsy--just like the sweet gal who made em!!! I LOVE this idea Tiffany! I'm just now starting to expand with my Gelatos and I'm finding that they are work SO well with, well...like everything!!! Still, I hadn't thought of this creative way to use them yet! I can't think of a store bought embellishment that could beat a homemade one and I can't wait to pull out my very neglected sticker frames and such and start making some of my very own! Thanks for your always amazing inspiration!!! :D
