Take the Challenge with Mou, December 2013

Hi everyone, Mou here and welcome to the last 'Take the Challenge' of 2013!

Every month, on the first Monday, I'll post a challenge and my take on it. You'll have 12 days to take this on. Leave a comment to the challenge post with a link to your creation based on that challenge. The following Monday, we will pick TWO winners randomly from among the readers who participated in that week's challenge. And the winners will get a prize from Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft®.

I'm finding it hard to believe that it's December already! But I'm more than ready for the winter break. Over the last 11 months, we have lived and loved and succeeded and failed and cried and laughed. Looking back on our life as a family in 2013, one word comes to my mind.

What would that word be for you? Take this creative challenge and share with us your observations.

To create my art journal page, I used Gelatos®GlazeStamper's Big Brush pen BLACK and PITT Artist pens (S & B).

I colored the page with Gelatos® and blended them a bit with Glaze. Once the surface dried, I wrote my thoughts using Stamper's Big Brush pen BLACK and PITT Artist pens (S & B).

Don't forget to share your challenge creations with us... just leave a comment to the challenge post with link to your project image(s) by Friday, 12/13 and we will pick TWO winners randomly to win these.

The prizes for this challenge are: Two sets of Art GRIP Color Pencils in the colors of your choice.
Don't forget to check back on Monday, 12/16  to see if YOU won!
Good luck to all and Happy Holidays!

Thanks Mou for inspirations through out this year, it was fun to participate in this monthly challenge with creative themes.
This year lot of changes happened in my family which were of course good, so 'Change' is the word for my Art Journal page. Linking here

I have enjoyed the last few months challenges - much happier with the ones I did before - but I tried - hope my mojo returns soon

  • Ardis on Art Journaling Month Week 4

Hi. I love Rita's style! I wanted to know if she would share how she did the black area that's over the blue and red on the sample journal page she did? (shown above - the one that says 'remember' on it) It almost looks like it might be with plastic wrap or something. Looks very cool! :D

    Thanks.

Like the look of the chalkboard black peeking through with the black stamping on top. I bet this would be fun to try with the texture cards too. Love your finished canvas. Your young lady's eyes are so expressive. I'm sure I'll see you again on the Design Memory Craft blog.

    Hi Tiare!

I went to visit your website - and there's nothing there. :(

  • Ruth Gauss on Mini Book Cover

So beautiful! What wonderful texture you got with the bricks and I love the soft watercolored flowers! And I learned that you can use the waterbrush to take color directly from the Gelatos - that's so good to know! Thanks so much for sharing!
